Curriculum
We aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum that meets the needs of individual children as well as meeting Government requirements. Literacy and Numeracy are usually taught each morning with other curriculum areas covered in an afternoon.
Lessons are delivered in a variety of ways to engage children in their learning. This includes class lessons, small group activities and individual tasks. All teachers use interactive whiteboards to enhance their teaching and Teaching Assistants are available for most of each day to support the learning of every child.
Home tasks, including individual reading, spellings, times-tables etc. are a regular feature of learning at Cowick School.
